Marilyn Edwards - Solicitor
Marilyn qualified as a solicitor in 1994.
She is a member of the Law Society's children's panel. This is a select panel with few members. Membership of this panel means that she is able to represent vulnerable children in court proceedings. She is also a member of the Association of Lawyers for Children, an organisation which protects the welfare and rights of children.
Marilyn is a member of Resolution, a national organisation of family lawyers committed to dealing with family problems in a non-confrontational manner and she is accredited to the Resolution Family Law Scheme.
Marilyn's specialist expertise lies in childcare proceedings. domestic violence and parental disputes over children.
She offers a bespoke service specifically tailored to meet each individual client's needs. The emotional strain caused by the breakdown of a relationship, removal of a child or contact dispute can be overwhelming. She provides honest and straightforward advice and practical solutions. She aims to empower her clients to make informed decisions about their future. Whenever possible, Marilyn is committed to resolving issues amicably and quickly in order to reduce costs.
Where clients qualify, Marilyn is able to offer her specialist services with the assistance of public funding (Legal Aid).
Marilyn is married with two girls and is very much a family person. When not busy ferrying her children to Brownies, Scouts, swimming, dance (you name it), she likes to cook read, go running and socialise. Recently she has even tried a bit of Zumba.
