Gemma Thew - Solicitor
Gemma joined the firm in 2008 as a trainee solicitor and completed her training contract with us.
Having qualified as a solicitor in October 2010, Gemma deals with all aspects of family law relating to divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships, financial and children matters. Gemma is particularly committed to public funding work (Legal Aid) and has recently been accepted as a member of Resolution.
Gemma also assists the private client department and specialises in preparing Lasting Power of Attorneys, registering Enduring Power of Attorneys, managing applications to the Court of Protection and assisting with contentious probate matters.
Gemma is approachable and keen to make her clients feel at ease during what can often be a stressful time.
On completion of her degree Gemma was awarded the Watson Esam Prize for best contribution to a free legal advice scheme and was presented her award by the 'Child of Our Time' presenter Professor Robert Winston.
Gemma has a keen interest in netball. She played for four years for her County Netball Team and currently plays for her local team.
